Rolled Grape Leaves

Rolled Grape Leaves is a famous dish in the Middle East and is all time favorite by many. I was inspired to create a book about this dish with a taste of my own experience at the neighborhood that I grew up in.

During my early days I saw women in my neighborhood sitting in a circle rolling up Grape Leaves with rice and meat on the inside. The process took hours to make, until you see a mountain of rolled grape leaves laying on the side ready to be cooked.

During this process conversations between women start to accure. There is nothing that they love more than to talk and gossip about other people! I had to write down their conversations during the rolling process and made a funny theatrical book with information and drawings made by me about the real life gossipers aka my neighbors in Nazareth. the book contain instructions on how to roll a grape leaf.
