Rifka - Oriental Geometric Pattern

A project instructed by Mamluk Art House in Cairo. The project is named after my grandmother “Rifka” which means “Companionship” in Arabic. During my studies my Grandmother got very ill and is still on very intense medical healthcare. I was inspired to design and paint the pattern using the colors of her dresses that she used to wear. In memory of her bubbly personality and her special presence in our lives.
